Yuzawa New Otani is just over 500m from the West Exit of Echigo Yuzawa Station. Joetsu Shinkansen bullet trains as well as local Joetsu line trains stop at Echigo Yuzawa Station. A free hotel shuttle bus is available on request. If you choose to walk from the station please refer to the map and directions below.
From Echigo Yuzawa Station (West Exit) to Yuzawa New Otani
Exit the train platform and ticket gates, and turn left towards the West Exit. Go past the model of the famous 'Yukiguni' novel heroine Komako
Go up the stairs and exit the station. Look for the bus with the Yuzawa New Otani logo on the side

Yuzawa New Otani is about 2.5km from the Yuzawa IC (interchange/exit) of the Kanetsu Expressway toll road. Free parking is available outside the hotel.
Exit the Yuzawa IC toll booth and turn right onto Route 17 at the traffic lights. After about 650m, turn left at the second set of traffic lights (the signpost says Yuzawa Onsen Town and Yuzawa Town Office).

From Route 17 to Yuzawa New Otani
Go under the Shinkansen train track bridge. At the junction at the end of the road, turn right to head towards Echigo Yuzawa Station.
Go past the West Exit of Echigo Yuzawa Station. Go past the 7-11 convenience store.
Continue along the 'onsen road'. On the right hand side is the (currently closed) Chinrai restaurant with signs for the hotel on the left.
Turn left into this road. After just over 100m you will arrive at Yuzawa New Otani hotel entrance on the left side.
